Wrapping Things up and Heading Home
On Saturday we were able to relax and do a little sightseeing. We visited the American Cemetery. It is a beautiful tribute to those who fought in WW II. Hard to believe the large, beautifully landscaped property is right in the middle of Manila. Then we visited Green Hills where we did a little souvenir shopping at the vendors. Imagine the largest flea market ever! Afterwards we enjoyed a dinner at Dads World Buffet in the MegaMall. The last week has been a whirlwind. We held a VBS in the morning (Tuesday – Friday) with around 45 kids ages 5 and 6. We met on an open air basketball court where we led music, taught Bible lessons, made crafts, played games, and interacted with the kids. We were very grateful for the help from Redemptio School who translated and helped us communicate with the kindergarteners. Everyone had a wonderful time!
